Are baby bouncers really necessary? After the swing and the play pen and the toys, sometimes the bouncers seem superfluous.
That is what we thought, at least. Until we actually had a baby.
Our son loved his bouncer even more than his swing, primarily because it let him sit up while slightly supported and interact with us and his surroundings at a more upright angle. For a young baby, this is a great feeling, and the toys dangling above are icing on the cake.
Looking back on it, I cannot imagine what we would have done without the bouncer (besides go slightly crazy). This was the best investment we ever made in baby gear.
